Who We Are and What We Do
The Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee of the Northwest Line Construction Industry (NW Line JATC) is a non-profit association designed to systematically training unionized workers for the outside electrical construction industry. The Main focus of the NW Line JATC is to provide the Northwest outside electrical industry with an adequate number of highly skilled journey level workers.

In addition to receiving skill training on the job, our apprentices are provided trade-related classroom instruction that produces competency and pride that lead to true draftsmanship. The NW Line JATC is governed by a Board of Directors. The Board is made up of eight members, four to represent the NW Line Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and four members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW).

Who is the Northwest Line JATC

The main focus of the NW Line JATC is to keep the northwest outside electrical industry with an adequate number of highly skilled journey level workers. We do this by offering different apprenticeship programs:

- Outside Electrical Lineman Apprenticeship
- Power line Clearance & Tree Trimming Apprenticeship
Governance
The NW Line JATC is governed by a Committee. The Committee is made up of eight (8) members; four (4) to represent the NW Line Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), and four (4) members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW)

Training

- NW Line JATC Office
- South Seattle Community College
- Columba Basin Community College
- PNW Carpenters Training Center
- Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 290 Training Center
- Crater Lake Electrical Training Center
- Central Oregon Electrical Training Center
- Camp Rilea Military Base
VOLTA
The Vocation Outside Line Training Academy prepares workers to enter the Outside Line industry with the basic knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and safety to satisfy initial employment requirements.
